Lynn Taylor’s interest as a decorative artist began with retirement in Elizabeth City, NC. Early projects explored wood, paint, metal and cement.
The idea that art can be created from the sometimes overlooked, ordinary objects of our everyday life (often times recycled pieces) has fostered a passion that keeps Lynn busy exploring possibilities across multiple media.

"It's about my frame of mind - at 3 am - when I envision a project and then the progression through numerous iterations that can be a combination of ideas that work and those that do not. This process excites me, with the final product hopefully intriguing my audience."

Lynn's art is commonly described as playful and is displayed on walls, floors and tabletops.
She enjoys the opportunities and artistic freedom presented while traveling. Her own horizons are forever growing while she absorbs different artistic processes that influence her style. Lynn is drawn to contemporary abstract pieces. “I want to stimulate one's imagination and encourage one to stay and study the outcome."
Lynn has private collection pieces in Elizabeth City, Nags Head, Charlotte, Palm Springs, Portland, Washington, Seattle and St. George Grenada.
